Hours Worked: 8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

 

Compensation: $30 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset). We will also offer up to $2500 in relocation assistance to those candidates who live out of state if selected for role.

 

Position Overview:

ATL is seeking a dynamic Electrical Test Engineer to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality. The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic, forward thinking, and possess outstanding technical skills, organizational awareness, and a commitment to excellence.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute experimental R&D projects in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, safety restrictions and environmental practices. Maintain all laboratory test instruments, data acquisition systems, and EMI/EMC testing equipment. Perform electronic product and system testing for internal acceptance, compliance, reliability, and warranty consideration. Design/build specific test fixturing is crucial. Hold the responsibility of analyzing electronic products for failure modes and perform root cause analysis. Understand and Interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics and technical manuals and procedures as they apply to specific applications. Ability to develop and adjust test plans and procedures for electronic products and systems, and review test procedures and instructions for approval before beginning testing processes. Summarize data in a report format relaying test details to client in a timely and accurate manner. Mentor and lead technicians and affiliated team members on safe use, operation and maintenance of equipment. Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

Education and Experience:

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Electrical background 2+ years of relevant experience as a Test Engineering / Technician 2+ years of experience with microprocessors, PCBA design and electronic component selection. 2+ years’ experience with electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers, impedance analyzers and vector signal analyzers. Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share out to technical and non-technical audiences to understand problems and to relay findings to our client. Knowledge of root cause analysis, as it relates to analog or digital electronics and electrical engineering concepts such as voltage, AC/DC and Ohm’s law. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience in the use of common hand tools, electronic and physical measuring devices, test instrumentation. Detail-oriented and great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and deliver results Electronic bench-work such as detailed fine pitch soldering and component level troubleshooting.

 

Preferred

Familiarity with LabView or similar data acquisition software. Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry
