Electrical Technician (9 Months Contract)

Northern Engineering Centre

9 Months Fixed Term Contract

We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a Time Served Electrical Technician to be based at our Northern Engineering Centre, Muir of Ord, for a fixed term of 9 months!

Salary of £58,470 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

As part of our Asset Care team, Electrical Technicians are primarily responsible for Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance & repair, and should have a keen eye for problem solving.

About the role

Following Health and Safety policy as well as ensuring it is adhered to on sites is essential to success as a technician. Owning and driving asset care IMPROVE activity both directly at site and within the asset care community. Actively taking part in root cause problem solving activities and providing subject matter expertise to ensure required fixes are identified, actioned and implemented promptly. The successful candidate will work Closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups (Mech & C&I) to improve efficiency of operational assets

Key points you would be responsible for are:

Attend asset care/CAPEX/Silent season review meetings along with Maintenance Managers – providing specialist insight into plans

Deliver maintenance activities for respective engineering centre/site in accordance with a weekly/daily asset care delivery plan.

Ensuring the accurate and regular update of Maintenance Systems.

This role is based around a standard working week, however it does include an on call rota which will require some weekend and evening work.

Skills and Experience

Time Served Electrician / HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Previous experience of electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
