Electrical Project Engineer - Global Construction Engineering

Our Electrical Project Engineers are highly valued and are relied on to provide technical leadership in their area of expertise. They are the primary leaders who develop discipline scope and engineering solutions for construction projects. This is a hybrid position at the Chandler campus in Chandler, Arizona. Training assignments may be required at other domestic or international locations. As an **Electrical Project Engineer** - Global Construction Engineering your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: + Being consulted for any major construction project related to facilities power systems. + Assess the feasibility of new projects. + Develop detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines. + Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution during detailed design and construction. + Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources. + Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts. + Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design. + Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met. + Improve standards and drive innovative solutions. + Collaborate and share learnings with counterparts at other sites across the globe. + Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment and all design and construction phases. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following behavioral traits: + Written, visual and verbal communication skills- especially in communicating technical issues. + Willingness to collaborate across engineering disciplines, organizations and geographic boundaries. + Team and quality-oriented skills. + Technical writing skills (e.g. specifications). + Technical skills in electrical engineering. + Skills to lead and provide direction to technical teams. + Champion and value the safety culture of caring throughout the project lifecycle. **Qualifications** Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Minimum qualifications: The candidate must possess one of the following: + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 4+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical systems. + OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 3+ years of experience on design and construction of electrical power systems. Preferred skills qualifications + 3+ years of experience in: + Electrical systems such as medium voltage, low voltage, emergency power systems, critical (UPS) power systems, lighting systems, and heat trace systems. + Leading a team. + ​Focus on industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects. + Registration as a Professional Engineer. + Familiarity with: + Reading and interpreting construction contract documents. + 1-line diagrams and BIM (3D modeling). + ATEX and EPD requirements. + Power modeling databases such as EasyPower or SLM is preferred. **Inside this Business Group** As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art -- from semiconductor process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement to packaging, final test and optimization, and world class Supply Chain and facilities support.
