Job Description

The Electrical Power Distribution Technician perform inspections, problem analysis and corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in the electrical distribution systems and to electrical equipment in Utilities, Cogeneration, Water Treatment Plant, "Lift Station" and Building Facilities. Executes maintenance work and operate high voltage electrical distribution system from 4.16kV to 115kV. The objective of the personnel is to maintain the electrical systems in optimal operational conditions, safely and efficiently, complying with EPA, OSHA and Corporate regulations. Observe guidelines of the National Electrical Code and Corporate Construction Standards. It serves as a technical resource in the construction of facilities, supporting the Project Engineering section.

Responsabilities

Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to electrical distribution systems, substations and electrical equipment associated with the processes of Utilities, Cogeneration, WWTP, lift stations ("Lift Stations") and Electrical Facilities. Perform tasks of analysis of problems in the electrical and control systems in the different equipment and processes of the facilities including softstarters frequency variators.Operate the electrical distribution system for load transfer, shutdowns and alternate power supply of the substations and equipment.Provide preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to high voltage distribution systems from 115 kV to low voltage installations up to 120 VacPerform calibrations of electromechanical and / or electronic protection relays and calibration and adjustment of circuit breakers up to 115kV.Complete thermography inspections, prepare and submit reports of the electrical distribution systems and to any specific systems as required by our clients.Assist and provide support to other functional Maintenance areas such as refrigeration technicians, instrumentation and mechanics during maintenance work and / or maintenance projects as required.Provide specialized service of calibration and adjustment of circuit breakers, testing of grounds systems, studies and load analysis, studies and analysis of power quality and analysis of major electrical problems in the power distribution system into manufacturing areas as required.Provide technical assistance and maintenance support in the planning and execution of engineering projects in site facilities.Document clearly and specifically electrical maintenance activities using the forms provided and properly fill out the test data forms.Observe and comply with all safety rules and procedures that apply to the site Operations. Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and inform, correct and suggest improvements to unsafe conditions. Comply with the Corporate Policies.
and with the regulations of CGMP, OSHA, EPA, Industrial Hygiene and Human Resources that apply to the maintenance activities.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electricity Technology.Puerto Rico Electrician License is required.Experience, knowledge and skill with high voltage and sophisticated maintenance equipment.Knowledge with good manufacturing practices (BOP's, GMP's and safety standards).Availability to work weekends, overtime and holidays according to business needs.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
