Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking an Electrical Physical Designer for our Naperville, IL location.

Determine cable routing using new and existing racewayPerform walk-downs to document as-built wiring configurationDevelop wiring diagramsDevelop change packages to client’s cable & raceway databasePerform onsite implementation support of modifications being installed and process changes in accordance with client proceduresConfer with engineers and other drafters for design concept interpretationWork directly with Engineering to interpret drawing markups for development or revision of the productModify and revises drawings as necessary to ensure complete accuracyPerforming Plant Walkdowns at a Nuclear Power Plant and generate walkdown reportsUnderstand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directivesConduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final productSupport engineers with any changes to drawingsMeet applied time goals set for position/discipline Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR Associates Degree in Computer-aided Design and 6 years experienceMust be proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThorough attention to detail of spelling/grammar, clarity, and organizationMust be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environmentAbility to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks Additional Information
