Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Engineering Practice Builder to join our team in Texas- This position will lead and support diverse public and private sector projects throughout Texas and across the country. **This opportunity could be in Houston or Austin**
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for the Resiliency Practice in Texas and surrounding communities. We are seeking a leader with background in business development, managing relationships with clients, supporting and leading projects, and leading and mentoring team members.
Markets are not limited by geography but driven by relationships. Leadership responsibilities include: operating with integrity and sound business principals, providing practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing an environmental planning practice. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. Responsibilities Include:
Lead complex design of electrical systems for solar and renewable projects throughout TX and other markets across the US. Preparation of project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and marketing proposals Lead a team of qualified staff while mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practiceDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical plans, equipment schematic and block diagrams, load calculations, and one-line diagrams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering12+ years of relatable experience in an Electrical Engineering leadership roleExperience managing and mentoring younger staffInterest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a growth mindset to build businessExperience with marketing and business development activities Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codesProficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)Licensed EE in the state of TX highly desiredExperience in Power Studies, such as Short Circuit Study, Coordination Study, and Arc Flash Analysis.AGI32 is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOptions Apply NowApplyShareShare this job with a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
