Actalent is seeking an FPGA engineer to support work in the defense and aerospace industry. The FPGA / digital engineer will design and develop custom high-speed digital signal-processing cards and firmware for next generation precision tracking radars and radar cross section (RCS) measurement systems. The work will require someone to be onsite and local to Columbus, OH.
Capture design requirements.
Designs and develops digital subsystems.
Performs VDHL/Verilog firmware development.
Works with embedded software engineers to develop architectures.
Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Generates product documentation (Interface Control Documents, theory of operation, etc.)
MUST HAVES:
1+ years of professional working experience with Xilinx or Altera/Intel FPGA development
1+ professional working experience with VHDL or Verilog Programming
Logic simulation experience (e.g. Vivado, Aldec, Modelsim, etc.)
Must be eligible for a US secret security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
NICE TO HAVES:
Xilinx MPSoC development experience
Xilinx RFSoC development experience
Digital circuit design experience
Radar imaging and/or tracking experience (SAR, ISAR), RF, electromagnetic theory
