Job Description
Our client is a full-service Architecture, Engineering & Construction management firm located in Herndon, VA. They are currently seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to join their team. Their projects primarily focus on data centers and mission-critical work, but also include office spaces, recreational/community centers, and fire stations.
ResponsibilitiesDesign lighting, power systems, and fire alarms for mission-critical facilitiesPrepare electrical drawings and specificationsReview submittalsConduct field surveys to verify existing electrical installationsDevelop single-line diagrams and floor plans from field surveysEssential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5-10 years of experienceProficient knowledge of AutoCADExperience in the design of large commercial buildings such as data centers and mission-critical facilitiesStrong writing and communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with BIM and Revit is a plusEIT certificationSpecific experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other large commercial buildingsProficiency in creating construction documents including floor plans, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, section details, and panel schedulesWork Environment
This is a full-service engineering firm with a team of 30 people. The work schedule includes 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Day-to-day tasks include designing in AutoCAD, conducting site visits, and interacting with architects and other clients. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
