**The Electrical Engineer role will cover a rotating 3-shift pattern consisting of early shifts, backshifts, and nightshifts.**

**About the role**
As an Electrical Engineer at our Blackgrange site, you’ll be primarily responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance & repair.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Delivering maintenance activities for the respective engineering centre/site in accordance with a weekly/daily asset care delivery plan, ensuring accurate feedback and update of SAP.
+ Attending all Tier 1 and Short Interval Control meetings, contributing to the agenda and completing actions as required.
+ Supporting BLS & Operators to build asset care and RCPS capability.
+ Maintaining a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
+ Adhering to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and working to all applicable legislative procedures. Responsible for Safe Systems of work.
+ Raising 5 why’s as defined by agreed trigger points. Working with Operators and business leaders to play a proactive role in situational problem solving on shift. Fixing problems and finding solutions via RCPS.
+ Coaching operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and supporting growth in equipment capability as required.
+ Attending asset care/CAPEX/shutdown review meetings along with Asset Care Reliability Business Leader– providing specialist insight into plans.
+ Supporting capital work, including installation, commissioning, and testing within area as required. Responsible for feeding into early equipment management.
**What you’ll bring**
You’ll have a Continuous Improvement mindset and a keen eye for problem solving as well as a knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems and the ability to read technical drawings to a high level.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:
+ Ability to interrogate and fault find PLC systems.
+ Knowledge of machinery safety. (light curtains and key enter systems)
+ Awareness and understanding of automation and conveyor systems.
+ Awareness and understanding of pneumatics and control instrumentation.
+ Valid CompEX 01-06 qualification (desirable)
+ 18th Edition qualification
