As an Electrical Engineer part of the WA Highways team, and within the Electrical sub-team, you will be primarily responsible for Lighting, Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) designs for local WA based highways infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity 
•    Collaborate with the team to assist in designing Electrical systems, Lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSA) for infrastructure projects, gaining foundational knowledge in electrical and ITS design.
•    Assist in collaborating with transportation engineers and architects on integrated designs, conducting lighting and visibility studies, and ensuring initial compliance with electrical and transportation standards. Contribute to preparing electrical and lighting design documentation and stay informed about ITS technologies.
•    Support multidisciplinary teams in integrated project designs and provide basic technical assistance to electrical engineering staff. Ensure initial compliance with electrical codes and safety standards, while staying informed about electrical engineering trends.
•    Working under minimal direct guidance within a defined area of responsibility, this role includes being responsible for specific parts of an external design project.
•    Check & ensure the quality and accuracy of ones own and potentially the work of others.  Furthermore, the role may be responsible for the development of others by providing guidance, training and feedback.

Is this role right for you? 

•    Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar area.
•    Relevant Lighting, Electrical and ITS experience within a consulting business environment.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of projects.
•    Relevant experience in AutoCAD, AGi32 and PerfectLite software.
