This new hire will work at the Hunt Valley Plant, located at 11100 McCormick Rd. in Hunt Valley, MD. The EET will report to the Maintenance Team Manager.

Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the candidate will respond to electrical troubleshooting calls on production/process equipment and utility breakdowns. This will include diagnosing, repairing, installing, and testing equipment, including power service, motor starters, electrical systems, PLC's controls, and electrical/mechanical interfaces. This role will also utilize and update, as needed, established procedures to perform standard electrical tests of equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on robots, conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, drives, and machinery wiring, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, and troubleshooting. Installs new machines and equipment by installing power supply wiring and conduit to and between machines and equipment, using hand tools and test equipment. Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery. Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components by using testing equipment and hand tools to install relays, switches, motors, and devices. Maintains electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Conserves electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Qualifications:
A two-year apprenticeship or 5 years of documented experience in the trade is required. Must be able to develop control logic including prints and installation of control wiring and troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments. Ability to work overtime daily and on weekends required; flexibility with shift hours required. Possess knowledge of NEC requirements required. Must be able to work in cross functional teams. Proficient in the use of applications of test equipment such as multimeters required. Must have a working knowledge of Windows. Must possess the ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics. Demonstrated experience with the type of equipment typically found in food processing plants is a plus.
Base Salary: $28.66-$42.98/hr
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Dividend Program.
