Join Trane as an Electrical Designer II in La Crosse, Wisconsin! As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing the control and power electrical systems within Trane’s Arctic product line.  This role will include new product development as well as design-to-order electrical schematics and modeling. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of our La Crosse, WI location.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.Documentation of parts and bills of materials.Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes.Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches.Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems.  Detects and corrects own errors.Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.May direct and coordinate work activity of junior personnel or provide administrative assistance.May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel. Anticipated travel time 5%


QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Design from an accredited technical school a recommended two (2) years of design experience or five (5) years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience.Understands basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks.Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system.3D Electrical harness design experience preferred.Electrical Schematic understanding preferred.PTC Creo skillset preferred


Base Pay Range:  $46,000 – $64,600/ year
