Job Description

Be an active team member in the Electrical Design team with the following key responsibilities:

Design improvements for maintenance, modification, overhauls and fleet modification projects for rolling stock.Preparation and production of high-quality technical electrical design deliverables across both functional and physical design elements, derived from scope requirements and high-level Engineering design.Prepare electrical production drawings which includes system block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D panel assemblies, installation and wiring harness drawings.Delivers to customer expectations and service standards, in the areas of timeliness, information transfer, availability and reliability.

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience in electrical schematic design/wiring database. Proven experience with electrical schematics and drafting. Strong exposure with Life cycle extension, wiring harness design, upgrades, circuit designs, overhauls, refurbishment for the existing products or brown field projects.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Highly Desirable: Knowledge and understanding of rollingstock related industry are highly regarded.

Software Skills:

Experience working with Siemens NX, or CATIA (electrical package), or AutoCAD (electrical package or Elecdes) is a must. Experience working with Teamcenter. 

Additional InformationThis position would be preferably based in Brisbane or Sydney, Australia. The applicants must be willing to relocate, if they are successful.Please note, all successful applicants must be an Australian Citizen or hold applicable Australian working visa.
