Electrical - Cabling Inspector for Solar Project

Key Responsibilities:

 

Inspect the installation of electrical cables, conduits, and cable trays to verify they are properly routed, supported, and terminated according to design drawings and specifications. Verify the use of appropriate cable types, sizes, and termination methods as per the project requirements. Conduct visual inspections of electrical connections and terminations to ensure they are properly installed and tightened. Perform testing of electrical cables and connections, including continuity, insulation resistance, and other relevant tests, to ensure they meet the required performance standards. Identify and document any non-conformities or defects observed during the inspection process and work with the project team to resolve them. Maintain detailed inspection records, including photographs, test results, and reports, and submit them to the project management team. Collaborate with the project team, including electricians, engineers, and site supervisors, to address and resolve any electrical installation issues. Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations, Bureau Veritas standards, and the project's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements. Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on the status of electrical inspections and any identified issues. Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes and procedures based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrical inspector or technician, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry. Thorough understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices, such as the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and relevant IEC standards. Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, insulation testers, and continuity checkers. Strong technical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical installation issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the project team. Familiarity with Bureau Veritas inspection procedures and requirements. Valid electrical or technical license/certification recognized in the Philippines. Willingness to work on-site and adapt to the project's schedule and requirements.
