SSOE is hiring for an Electrical and Controls ePlan Designer to support our glass & glass manufacturing clients. Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

Understand various controls systems and/or power systems and perform design work using ePlan where project tasks may include: Developing electrical installation/construction packages including riser/conduit installation drawings, device location plans/elevations and specifications.Developing electrical schematics including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings and 1-line & 3-line schematics.Designing communication systems using Ethernet communication cables and equipment.Designing Control Panels, Field Junction Boxes, Local Control Panels including layout, bills of material, power schematics, control schematics and terminations.May act as the design lead on selected projects.Coordinate and interface with other disciplines. Qualifications

What You’ll Need on Day One: 

 

Engineering experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments required – glass, steel, or graphite industry preferred.5-10 years of direct related experience using ePlan and MS Office Software Suite required.Self-starter with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.Ability to work remotely in both independent and team-oriented environments.  Able to commute periodically to meet with the rest of the team.Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.Competitive Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 / year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications.
