Summary

As the brand is growing, so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for a Sr Sales Manager to lead our Natural Channel, reporting directly to the Vice President, Sales. This position will primarily focus on nurturing the egglife brand and own volume and revenue targets across key natural channel retailers, like Whole Foods, Sprouts, & others. The Sr Sales Manager will deliver targets by executing the right mix of merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space growth levers in existing Egglife retail partners. This role will also indirectly oversee the key natural channel independents, who will be directly managed by a Regional Sales Manager.

Essential job functions

Working with guidance and support from the Vice President, Sales, but with expected autonomy you will:

Manage our most strategic Natural Channel retail and distributor partners, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, KeHE, and UNFIExecutes and owns customer relationships for long-term Natural channel strategy & brings plans to flawless executionPartner with Vice President, Sales to define annual plan & forecast with volume and revenue targetsPartner closely with the Vice President, Sales & Chief Marketing Officer to ensure right marketing spend and tactics to support plan & deliver targetsDetermine the appropriate sales support budget to ensure achievement of the annual plan and manage spend across the partner base in line with budget throughout the yearCollaborate closely with the Category Managers to develop joint business plans; identifying key strategies & actions that Egglife and the retailer will invest behind to achieve necessary volume & revenue targetsUnderstand Category Management “Best Practices” and leverage merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and space (MAPPS) levers to drive egglife growth and establish Egglife as a leading better for you brandDefine the customer segmentation; identifying the target retailers and appropriate prioritization to pitch & secure incremental Egglife PartnershipsReview the business through regular analysis of syndicated consumption data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI)  and sales, by customer and item, to identify trends and develop action plans to correct, or capitalize on those trends as neededAnalyze retailer, syndicated, shopper & distributor data to support all planning, selling and execution activities across the retailersManage the KeHE/UNFI relationship with the SRM directly

 

Qualifications

5+ years sales experience within CPG industry preferred3+ years sales experience, with experience calling on National Account and Regional HQ Category Leaders & Stakeholders within the Natural Channel. Experience with Whole Foods and Sprouts required.Critical to have mastery of Natural Channel indirect distribution methods to best service Whole Foods, Sprouts and other natural channel retailersTrack record of consistently delivering resultsStrong category/product management acumen to instill confidence as thought leader with Retail & Distributor PartnersStrong mastery of trade planning, trade management, and execution at Retailer/Key Account & DistributorsStrong analytical mind with experience analyzing syndicated dataExperience analyzing sales and shopper data to build actionable planCreative strategist, exceptional critical thinker and problem solverExceptional communicator: verbal, written and presentation skillsComfortable and able to succeed in a fast paced, ambiguous environmentDetail-oriented with excellent organization skillsWillingness to travel up to 50% of the time
