Responsibilities
Performs electrocardiogram tests and understands fundamentals of good techniqueCorroborates clinical history and assesses patient for appropriateness of ordered procedureProvides patient education, applies patient relations skills and maintain confidentiality of patients and customers in a safe and professional mannerAssumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficultiesIs responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirementsAssumes responsibility for personal and professional development through participation in department meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education programsPerforms value-added activities that result in positive customer satisfaction and/or financial performanceParticipates in Quality Improvement initiatives as assignedParticipates in all safety, security, and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the departmentAll team members are responsible for maintaining a positive work environment and participating in departmental problem-solving

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or EquivalentCertification
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Requires basic technical knowledge and computer skills to for procedure completion and report reconciliation.
