The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor will provide leadership to the EHS programs at the Mickleton location within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct & Action of Saint-Gobain.

Will ensure federal and local legislative compliance, develop and maintain ISO systems, develop an autonomous EHS culture, promote defined Health and Wellness programs, define and lead EHS and sustainability initiatives/projects, define EHS standard operating procedures, provide EHS training, develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods, all achieved through participation and employee engagement.

Will provide direction and leadership to all plant department managers, supervisors and employees in matters dealing with EHS related matters and will serve as leader for the plant’s various safety efforts.

Primary Accountabilities:

Lead the WCM Health &; Safety Pillar, Crisis Management Committee, and contributing member of the Mickleton Leadership Team. Manage and develop EHS program, across plant manufacturing site/functions and including outside contractors, to ensure safe behavior, safe equipment, and regulatory compliance. Develop, schedule, and deliver impactful and interactive training to supervisors, employees and contractors on subjects related to EHS. Continuously inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, processes, and workplace to ensure compliance with OSHA, Corporate and industry standards. Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents including near-miss, First-Aid and Accidents involving injuries and/or property damage and make recommendations for corrective action. Oversee & maintain site Risk Assessment Process & action plans that drive positive change &  conform with the Corporate Standard. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure machinery, tooling, and all equipment are safe and ergonomically sound. Maintain EMS in compliance with ISO 14001 Standard. Responsible to stay abreast of current OSHA, EPA, NJDEP and DOT requirements. Site liaison for all regulatory inspections. Maintain site Air Permits, Stormwater Permit, X-Ray Certificates, RCRA compliance. Lead HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP programs.
