Job Scope
The EHS/Operations Technician III is responsible for performing advanced operational tasks, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of systems and equipment within the facility. This role requires strong technical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. Performs repairs with approval and minimal oversight. Enters records on inspection, testing and repair activities as needed. Supports day-to-day EHS operations and project work.
Responsibilities
Performs scheduled and unscheduled facilities repairs and maintenance with approval and oversight as needed. Supports EHS leadership in completing tasks and projects.Coordinates timely facilities repairs with outside vendors, including contacting contract service providers and ordering parts as needed.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and systems.Operates a variety of lift equipment, power tools, hand tools, measuring tools and other maintenance equipment.Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly.Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.Respond to urgent maintenance requests and on-call emergencies outside of regular working hours.Lead facility maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Participate in safety inspections and contribute to the development of safety training programs.Ensure all facilities maintenance activities comply with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.Prepare reports on maintenance issues and performance metrics for management review.Monitor facility performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.Work closely with other departments to address facility needs and improve operational efficiency.Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance status, challenges, and recommendations.Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical certification or degree in facilities management, HVAC, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience operations or maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proficient knowledge of facilities operations such as plumbing, HVAC, roofing systems, lighting systems, minor electrical and low voltage and compressed air.Familiarity with OSHA, DEQ/EPA regulations and safety standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining complex systems.Prior experience using hand tools and power toolsStrong organizational and time management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and maintenance management software (SAP).Proficient in the English language.Ability to transport between company buildings with reliable transportation.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
