EHS Manager Department: Facilities Location: Sturtevant, WI START YOUR APPLICATION (https://apply.hrmdirect.com/resumedirect/ApplyOnline/Apply.aspx?req\_id=3198374&source=3198374-CJB-0) JOB SUMMARY The Cirtec Medical EHS team focuses on providing training, tools, resources, and support that creates a safe, efficient, and healthy work environment. The EHS Manager is integral to sustaining and enhancing our EHS focus. This role is Accountable to plan, implement and coordinate required and appropriate safety programs at all Cirtec Medical locations to ensure compliance with all applicable, environmental, health and safety laws and regulations. Driving the -Safety First- message to all Cirtec Medical sites. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES + Develop and execute the Health & Safety strategy for Cirtec Medical, aligned with business plans. + Drive continual improvement and best practices in all key health and safety activities. + Educate and communicate with various levels of management throughout all Cirtec facilities the required Health & Safety procedures and tools. + Develop and delegate safety metrics throughout all Cirtec facilities and produce appropriate reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually). + Conduct internal audits on plants to check for safety and environmental compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations, including leading safety evaluations for all new and existing Cirtec equipment. + Ensure and deliver appropriate training for Health & Safety objectives to maintain compliance across all plants, as well as responding to all necessary and applicable Health and Safety issues that arise. + Lead partnership with HR and applicable Safety staff at all sites to regularly review the incident/injury reporting, recordables, near misses, investigation processes of all applicable information produced. + Lead all manufacturing safety efforts, including preventative measures, Gemba walks, ARC, Flash, Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) and be proactive in implementing all other necessary safety measures within all Cirtec facilities. + Responsible to remain up to date on EPA and environmental concerns to keep plants in compliance. + Create and implement Plant recycle and waste streams; including reporting, measurement, and improvement. Additionally responsible for safe disposal of site-specific hazardous waste. + Adhere to all current EHS standards and regulations, while implementing new laws and regulations. + Perform other duties as assigned. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION This role can be located out of any Cirtec facility, Brooklyn Park MN, Sturtevant WI, Enfield CT, Lowell MA, Rock Hill SC, Chandler AZ, Santa Clara CA. QUALIFICATIONS + Master-s or Bachelor-s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or sciences/engineering required + 5 years of related experience and training. + Experience or education in maintaining OSHA, EPA and State compliance in manufacturing setting. + Ability to maintain and amend training for programs including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment, Respirator Program, Hearing Conservation, Employee Right to Know (Hazard Communication), Control of Hazardous Energy, Hazardous Waste, Emergency/Contingency Plan (includes Fire Drills), Electrical Safety, A Workplace Accident Incident Reduction, Fire Prevention, Ionizing Radiation and Power industrial Truck. + Knowledge of Federal, state, and local regulations: CAA, RCRA, CWA, TSCA, EPCRA, DOT, OSHA, NFPA, ATF, NRC, FDA, Customs, and IATA. (CAA - Clean Air Act, RCRA - Resource Conservation and Recovery Act i.e. hazardous and solid waste, CWA - Clean Water Act, TSCA - Toxic Substances Control Act, EPCRA - Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, DOT - Department of Transportation, OSHA - Occupational Safety and Health Administration, NFPA - National Fire Protection Association, ATF - Alcohol Tobacco Firearms, NRC - Nuclear Regulatory Commission, FDA - Food and Drug Administration, IATA - International Air Transport Association ) + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, online government registration and reporting programs: formulas, pivot tables, charting, inputting, developing correspondence, reporting, etc. + Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information and work diplomatically with all levels of employees in the organization and with a very diverse set of individuals + Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and organize assignments. + Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting requirements affecting EHS functions to be able to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting compliance. + Ability to maintain an appropriate balance between compassion for the employee-s situation and the needs of the organization. Can take a stand to ensure employees are safe and healthy in the work environment as well as ensuring business results have been met + Must be able to read, speak and write English WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in an office environment.
