Your Role at KIK

Are you a passionate and experienced EHS leader looking for an exciting opportunity to drive impactful change? As the EHS Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming the company’s safety culture, guiding a shift toward a more proactive and consistent approach across sites. You’ll take the lead in rolling out new programs, developing innovative strategies, and writing detailed guidance that sets the standard for safety and environmental performance.

This role offers the chance to work alongside a supportive and empowering leadership team, one that provides strong guidance without the need for micromanagement, allowing you to take ownership of the EHS strategy. Reporting directly to the Director of EHS, you will be instrumental in ensuring that programs are aligned with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations, while consistently driving continuous improvement in safety protocols.

What You’ll Be Doing

Serve as the site EHS subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on EHS matters.Establish and maintain site EHS goals, objectives, and targets.Represent EHS on the site Leadership Team.Develop and implement tactical and strategic plans to enhance EHS performance.Oversee the EHS training program, including onboarding, job-specific, contractor, and refresher courses.Lead and manage the site EHS Committee.Oversee all site EHS communications.Manage incident and injury reporting, investigations, and recordkeeping.Support worker’s compensation claims and the Return to Work program.Ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.Manage the site waste management and sustainability programs.Ensure timely submission of all internal and external safety, environmental, and sustainability reports.Maintain accurate EHS records.Conduct and manage site hazard assessments.Manage the hazard communication program, including SDS management and training.Oversee site Safety Management Systems.Manage process safety management (PSM) or E2 programs, as applicable.Ensure compliance with environmental permits, reporting, monitoring, and recordkeeping.Lead facility safety programs for leadership and employees.Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process.Oversee site security programs.Manage site emergency response initiatives.Support compliance with hazardous materials transportation regulations.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and 5 or more years of EHS compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local EHS regulations.Industrial wastewater and potable water systems experience is a plus.Experience in chemicals or consumer products industries is a plus.Familiarity with PSM, RMP, or E2 requirements is preferred.Proactive, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trust and overcome obstacles.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, aligned with facility goals.Proven ability to lead projects from concept to execution.Effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.OSHA 30-hour certification required.Availability: Primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional off-shift availability required for urgent issues or emergencies.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $120,000 – $130,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
