We are currently looking for an experienced EHS & Facility Manager for our facility in Tiel, Netherlands, to shape and implement Axalta's EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) policy.
From our location in Tiel, we are the partner for all companies in damage repair, bodywork construction and industry. We are responsible for the sale and distribution of high-quality Refinish paints. In addition, we are the market leader in non-paint and offer a unique service package. This role is dedicated to creating a safe and comfortable working environment for both colleagues and visitors while providing essential support for all facility and EHS-related matters.
In this role, you will be part of a newly established site that houses key central departments and serves as the main training center, welcoming a steady flow of visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the HSE function and managing various administrative tasks to support the Operations Director. As EHS Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining the EHS management system in accordance with Axalta's standards and Dutch laws and regulations.Additionally, this position offers opportunities for professional growth, including development into a management role and training across different areas.
Key responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on EHS policies, laws, and legislation/regulations.Ensure policy adherence, coordinate protective equipment of existing employees and conducting toolbox meetings, introduction of new employees and contractors.Develop and implement EHS training, education, and awareness programs.Establish and maintain our processes and procedures for a safe working environment.Monitor and communicate regulatory changes to ensure compliance.Manage environmental permits and report facility changes.You are actively concerned with the environmental impact of our organization and follow up on related projects.Prepare and submit monthly and annual EHS reports internally and externallyConduct and oversee incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis.Perform workplace inspections and participate in government and audits or inspections by government agencies. Responsible for developing and implementing EHS policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture within the team.Perform and assess risk inventories.Liaise with authorities, supervise officials, and manage EHS documentationResponsible for implementing and keeping up-to-date the RI&E.You (co)manage the FAFS team and maintain the related processes.Administrator of the EHS management system Support on the coordination of the facility: contact with suppliers, ensure orderliness and cleanliness of the premises, canteen coordination, amongst others.Key requirements:
Education & Experience: HBO degree with 3-6 years of relevant work experience.Certifications & Knowledge: Emergency Response Officer (preferred), fire safety regulations, and ADR / ATEX knowledge; PGS15 (dangerous good storage knowledge) would be ideal. Prevention officer.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, computer skills and good data management abilities.Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.Interpersonal skills Strong personality, confident communicator with a customer-oriented mindset and high sense of responsibility.Other Requirements: Valid driving license (B), full-time availability (40 hours), and willingness to undergo further training.Skills & Competencies: Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail, with a hands-on, pro-active, and flexible approach.
