EHS Coordinator

Description:

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for multiple site wide environmental, health and safety programs and key performance indicators. Develop and direct training, engagement, stewardship, stainability, and compliance activities for the site relating to health, safety and environment. Represents site leadership respectfully and professional with all employees and regulatory entities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•\tServes as the site representative for all EHS activities.

•\tLeads implementation of injury reduction efforts; promotes and drives “Zero Injury Culture”

•\tResponsible for all regulatory and site specific EHS trainings.

•\tLead, develop and conduct site incident investigations, RCAs, and corrective actions.

•\tAnalyzes new equipment and verifies operator safety; researches and recommends safety equipment.

•\tDrive reduction in site environmental impacts.

•\tDevelops and conducts site wide safety and environmental training programs.

•\tDirect and manage site wide safety committee.

•\tDevelop and lead internal auditing, inspections, and site assessments.

•\tDirect and manage site Emergency Response Team training, responsibilities, and expectations.

•\tDemonstrate effectiveness in crisis management.

•\tManage and direct all OSHA interactions.

•\tEvaluates work activities, designs, develops, implements, and recommends risk mitigation related to EHS.

•\tWork independently on highly technical assignments.

•\tTeam player – give and receive feedback

•\tPerforms all tasks in a safe manner, complies with all safety rules and policies.

•\tIdentifies and reports unsafe operations to the supervisor immediately.

•\tFollows up on identified corrective actions.

•\tAssist with environmental permits.

•\tConduct new equipment / process acceptance inspections.

•\tPerforms other duties as assigned.

Working Environment:

•\t50% Standing/Walking

•\t50% Office

Physical Demands:

•\tConstant communication with employees, peers, and management

•\tOccasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.

•\tAble to walk several miles a day.

•\tPosition requires local, domestic travel (20%)
