ACET is seeking a Material EHS Coordinator in Havelock, NC.
General Position Description
Primary purpose and responsibility is to ensure compliance with all EHS Related safety rules and regulations, and to assist the Aerospace Division and individuals to be compliant. The position is responsible for ensuring ACET Havelock location and Aerospace contract related off site locations are in compliance with OSHA, EPA, AS9100 and ISO-9001 standards. The EHS Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert on all safety, compliance and regulatory related requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned as needed.
Serve as EHS Coordinator – conducting audits and compliance training.Meeting with management team to define EHS goals and objectives.Training employees on policies and best practices.Serve as subject matter expert in EHS processes and ensure Aerospace activities are operating as per industry standard practices.Provide solutions and intervention strategies for EHS compliance and Safety Hazards.Ensure training programs for manager / employees are effectively covered and completed, develop local procedures and programs to fit facility requirements as needed.Assist with training of new hires into facility EHS requirements.Conduct annual training with individual employees / management.Local and Field Site inspections, training and corrective action(s):
1. Inspect site locations, train local management on inspection requirements.
2. Provide direction to local management on correcting identified problems in a timely manner.
3. Follow up to make sure all corrective actions were taken and completed.
4. Provide individual employee training on corrective actions.
5. Assist where needed, propose full solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in manufacturing and aircraft maintenance EHS activities, AS9100 and ISO-9001 or related field or equivalent work experience.Must have advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel).Depot level experience Experience with utilization of SharePoint.Excellent communication and problem solving skills.Strong Leadership and Training abilities. Acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Must be able to pick up and maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds from the ground.Some travel to offsite locations is required while not inclusive, some sites are Jacksonville, NC, San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Jacksonville, FL and other sites as required.Must possess a valid state driver's license.Must pass background investigation for a Public Trust (high) and be able to obtain access to Military installations**Must be US Citizen to apply**
