The Role

The Editorial Operations Associate will provide critical support for a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers who cover complex litigation, regulatory enforcement actions, legislative proceedings, and other market-moving proceedings and events. You will report to the Editorial Operations Manager and will be in charge of maintaining databases, monitoring information sources for newsworthy developments, managing a calendar of hearings and deadlines, drafting reports on regulatory news from agencies, producing other content, and building and enhancing systems and processes that help drive Reorg’s content and data.

Responsibilities:

Monitor key websites, dockets, public filings and other information streams for relevant disclosures and market-moving developments Maintain databases, including drafting regulatory and corporate updates Maintain calendar of events that tracks regulatory deadlines, congressional hearings, case deadlines and other relevant dates Produce data-driven reports to identify and address issues and opportunities across editorial operations and Reorg's databases Work closely with operations team and other editorial staff to develop and enhance processes and systems that help drive content across the broader editorial team

Requirements:

B.A. or B.S. degree Genuine interest in financial news, legal proceedings and the intersection of business and government  Excellent written and oral communication skills, confident phone abilities, and effective follow-up techniques Experience in Excel / Google Sheets, data and chart-making Exceptional attention to detail and organization Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment Enjoys creative problem-solving and looks to take on new challenges

At Reorg, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.

The salary range estimate for this position is $60,000 - 70,000 plus an annual performance bonus. 

The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors.
