Your impact:

We are looking for an organized, proactive Assistant to support the Editorial Director of Elle Décor and Town & Country. This role is essential to keeping our creative team running smoothly, and providing high-level administrative support in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects with a sense of urgency. The ideal candidate is comfortable with scheduling, travel arrangements, expense management, and project coordination, while also contributing to creative processes and editorial planning.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

Maintain daily schedule and calendar Organize and file expense reports on a timely basis and in keeping with Hearst policy Manage communication and arrange meetings with contacts at all levels of seniority Organize business travel arrangements Coordinate special events Help prepare decks, remarks or presentations for meetings and events Sending out invites and issues to key contributors Miscellaneous research, errands, and administrative tasks

Job Qualifications:

Must be a college graduate with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Need to have very strong organizational, issue-resolution, and decision-making skills; sound judgment and discretion (need to handle confidential material); and strong writing skills.  Prior experience with administrative duties during the course of an internship at a magazine or in another related field is preferred.  Must be familiar with Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel; knowledge of K4 or Woodwing production system is helpful.

The base salary for this role is between $60,000-$61,500. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
