Econometrician - Lead
Job description Based in Leeds or London, we are seeking an experienced Lead Econometrician with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) experience from a media agency or consultancy. You will be passionate to develop the next generation of marketing intelligence solutions for our business.
Our business requires constant insight generation via Marketing Mixed Modelling (MMM)to support a range of marketing strategies and you will be responsible for helping to create and deliver new ways of working to meet this need. You will help us automate our data collection and processing, modelling, and reporting efforts to deliver this pipeline of insights.
Our Econometrics team consists of talented mathematicians, statisticians, and economists. The team builds econometric models that are used as support in decision-making by stakeholders in marketing, finance, and compliance. It works closely with other teams to deliver results and insights.
What you will be doing
Helping to create and implement our next generation solution of MMM, whilst deploying and maintaining econometric models for different brands and marketsMaintaining the project delivery to ensure all the fundamental questions are correctly addressed whilst working with internal stakeholders and support functions across evoke, as well as external partnersSupport the management team in delivering our best-in-class internal MMM team, through cultivating a positive culture and environment for first class econometrics coupled with team growth and developmentHaving direct involvement in driving marketing efficiency and improvements through optimisation and scenario planningParticipating in building and maintaining marketing optimisation tools, interactive dashboards, and process automation required to build a best-in-class internal econometrics capability

Advanced experience from a media agency or consultancy, or in-house from a relevant industry whilst having a numerate degree such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer science at undergraduate or postgraduate levelExperience in Python or R, and SQL as well as having advanced Excel skills allowing for modelling, data processing, and post-processing analysisExperience of 'leading' econometric projects for three years, and you are comfortable with mentoring junior members of the team. You'll be comfortable managing stakeholders and delivering presentationsA working understanding of the media planning and buying landscape and how MMM can drive more effective marketing plans. You also have excellent written and communication skills, united with being highly self-motivated who is not only results orientated but also a critical thinker
