ABOUT THE ROLE
From millennials to fashionistas and pop culture enthusiasts, you will be able to helps shape content strategy each and every day. The new Ecommerce SEO Lead will be responsible for developing and owning our UK Ecommerce SEO strategy, and managing a team of Ecom SEO professionals, who will be tasked with growing affiliate revenues.
Within the Ecommerce space, Search plays an important role and produces a healthy variety of traffic and revenue. Working directly with our SEO Director, Ecommerce Director and the wider SEO and Ecommerce commercial and editorial teams, you will get a front row view of the latest trends, and the hottest new product reviews and new product launches.
In addition to handling day-to-day SEO tasks, the Ecommerce SEO Lead will work closely with the wider SEO team to prevent any overlap or conflicting strategies and will ensure that our Ecom SEO strategy is consistent across all brands and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor, develop and directly manage a team of Ecommerce SEO professionals, tasked with growing affiliate revenues. Work closely with the wider SEO team to prevent any overlap or conflicting strategies. Ensure that our Ecom SEO strategy is consistent across all brands and portfolios. Develop and facilitate implementation of our Ecommerce SEO strategy internationally. Monitor and report on overall Ecommerce SEO performance. Identify growth opportunities, whilst driving innovation and efficiency. Manage internal relationships with stakeholders, and lead cross-departmental collaboration to integrate Ecom SEO objectives with overall business strategies, Working closely with brand and central Ecommerce Editors Anticipate and plan for technological and behavioural changes in buying patterns and how it relates to Search. Implement the SEO content strategy for sites that seamlessly mixes into their editorial calendar and tone of voice. Inputting keyword ideas, that drive affiliate revenue. Competitor content and keyword gaps, spotting emerging trends, seasonal opportunities, and innovative takes on what’s trending on the web, news, and social platforms. Optimise content on the regular and work with the commercial, affiliate and Ecommerce editors to formulate and plan strategies around tentpole events such as Black Friday and Prime Day. Create ad-hoc reports for the editorial teams, based on what’s trending on Google. You will work directly in our CMS (Content Management System) updating content, meta titles and descriptions, URLs, optimising internal linking, creating aggregated content pages, etc. Interrogate monthly reports, Google Analytics, and communicate wins and learnings. And deep dive analysis to inform further strategy decisions. Keep track of our Ecommerce articles’ rankings and report on significant changes. Live and breathe all things Search. Stay on top of the industry, test out new product features, and ensure we are always playing nicely with every algorithm update. Effectively and proactively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.ABOUT YOU
Proven hands-on SEO experience. Commercial mindset. Experience working in an affiliate-focused business. Strong understanding of how affiliate marketing works, how to grow affiliate revenues, and how to measure success. Currently in a primarily SEO focused role. Knowledge of on-page ranking factors. Extensive keyword research experience. Understanding of seasonal keyword changes. Experience recommending/creating Search specific content. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. Strong analytical skills. Must be able to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues. A commercial mind-set, consistently focused on driving revenues. Must have a passion to stay current on SEO. Experience with Google Search Console. Experience working with an enterprise level CMS. Google Analytics. Willingness to develop and expand knowledge of SEO and useful tools including Excel. Experience and interest in any of these areas is a plus: Homes/Fashion/Beauty/Lifestyle/Wellness.WHAT WE OFFER
