Purpose
The eCommerce Merchandiser focuses on the upload and maintenance of product information on flooranddecor.com. Responsibilities will include categorization and merchandising, executing merchandising initiatives within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and partnering with Merchants to ensure products online are positioned for optimal conversion both online and in stores.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Communication or related field requiredMinimum 2-4 years of experience in Merchandising and EcommerceAttention to detail, creativity, and knowledge of information technology and data feedsAbility to learn quickly; positive attitude; excellent time management; organized, and possess strong problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with a team to execute tasks and projects and achieve desired resultsAbility to grow and evolve as the fast-paced eCommerce industry continues to progressMicrosoft Office & familiarity with Google Analytics and PowerBISalesforce Commerce Cloud and eCommerce Marketing experience is a plusExperienced in project planning and project management.Excellent written and graphic communication skills (ie. grammar, formatting)
Essential Functions
Executes online product creation and online merchandising efforts such as:Product categorization/merchandisingSearch strategiesProduct content, imagery, etc.Reviews product data daily including:Completing full detailed reviews for new items createdEnhancing products with necessary website attributes using established guidelinesIdentifying opportunities for improvements in processesCommunicating with merchant teams on data discrepancies/product related questions and resolving in a timely mannerMaintains correct product assortment including:Identifying opportunities for improvementsIdentifying and solving for potential gaps in assortment strategiesLooking for efficiencies in executing merchandising strategiesAdjusting the assortment weekly as necessaryRemoving products at the end of their lifecycleCoordinates category specific initiatives in partnership with Merchant team in an effort to drive revenueAttends meetings with merchant teamsPresents key category business metrics to merchant teams including comparative analysisOutlines key merchandising strategies & opportunities/recommendations for improvementFollows up with merchant teams on outstanding tasks from previous meetingsAssists in larger site merchandising executionsQA’s Merchandising tasks in staging environment & constantly reviews production site for accuracy including data and imagery discrepanciesTroubleshoots website issues that may occur and loops in correct cross-functional partners for resolution. Communicates with appropriate parties on timing, urgency, & priorities of issues that arise.Constantly works to ensure consistency and optimal digital experiences in both the desktop and mobile shopping channels as well as overall connected customer initiativesOther duties as assigned that are pertinent to the business working conditions (travel, environment)Limited travel required including air and car travelThe noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
