Echocardiography Technician I

We are looking for an Echocardiography Technician I to join our team! In this role, you will utilize high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) and other noninvasive echocardiography equipment to capture detailed images of the heart. This position requires specialized knowledge and skills to support diagnostic and/or therapeutic services for a designated patient population.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Perform Echocardiogram, carotid and peripheral vascular studies, use non-invasive procedure, to examine heart valves, chambers and blood vessels to produce images. Evaluate the various valves and chambers of the heart and makes appropriate measurements. Perform imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations which may include exercise tolerance tests, electrocardiograms, stress tests, and transesophageal echocardiography. Obtain patient history, explains procedure to patient, addresses patients’ concerns, and Determine appropriate methodology and techniques to use arrange immobilization and/or support devices for proper patient positioning: selects appropriate imaging device.Recognize potentially serious conditions (e.g., pericardial effusion, intracardiac tumor, thrombi, etc) and brings it to the attention of the physician. Maintains echocardiography and other equipment in efficient operating order; may perform minor preventative maintenance; contacts outside service for major malfunctions.Other duties in department as assigned.Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
High School or equivalent Post High School Vocational/Specialized TrainingExternship during Cardiovascular programAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and/or Register Cardiac Sonography (RCS) from Cardiovascular credentialing international (CCI)Within 6 months of hireBLS Card from the American Heart AssociationAssociate degree in Cardiovascular Ultrasound, preferredAdditional Information:
