Eastmont - Cook (Full-Time)

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your culinary career? We have an excellent opportunity for a Cook to join our team! This is a temporary position to cover for a medical leave but could turn into full-time.  Our Cooks are an integral part of the Dining Services team, helping ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals. Our Cooks:


Prepare assigned stations for shift. Prepare individual components of various entrees and food items. Batch cooking from scratch and line cooking.  Prep vegetables. Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. Complete other duties as assigned  


What you need to succeed!


Minimum 1-2 years as a full-service restaurant cook/lead cook.  Prefer experience in a healthcare facility.   Ability to prepare high quality food for our residents. Able to work alternating holidays and pre-planned events. Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment venders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.  Able to work 5am - 1:30pm 5 days per week (including every other weekend and alternating holidays.)  


Physical Requirements


 The ability to push/pull/carry up to 30lbs
