We have an incredible opening for a part-time  Activities Assistant to join our team! The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lifestyle Team in providing activities programs and opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth.

 

Our Activities Assistant


Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents. Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter. Assist with planning and coordinating special events, arts programs, entertainment, special events, parties, group games, interfaith services, and independent projects. Assist with evening and weekend programs. May assist with activities in independent living, assisted living and health care areas. Assist the Director in the set up and overseeing of evening and weekend programs. Assist the Director in training all staff on activity-related programs. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age / Eastmont in all areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned.


What you need to succeed!


A high school diploma or equivalent education, training and experience One year of activities/life enrichment experience, preferably working with seniors Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and clear driving record An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude Be tech savvy and able to hook up computer to AV for programs; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader;  Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills Patience, flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond as needed to ensure the success of our team and care for residents of the community
