Early Childhood Lead Teacher Toddler Room - Petes Place
Supervision of Toddlers ages 19 months to 3 years old. Under general supervision, and according to specific procedures, the Lead Teacher (ECLT) is responsibility of planning and executing classroom activities, assisting in the maintenance of a safe, healthy and stimulating classroom environment, provide constant supervision of children at all times including planning time, outside play, meal time, and nap time. Assists in the monitoring and training of Assistant Teacher (ECAT), trainees and supportive staff. Maintains sensitivity to children’s individuality and responds to those needs appropriately and quickly by guiding the behavior of children in positive, effective ways. Maintains the highest level of professionalism at all times. Encourage experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization to promote further learning and thinking. Prepare the classroom environment and materials to support developmentally appropriate curriculum plans and learning experiences. Assess individual and group needs, attending to specific interests, strengths and concerns. Coordinate with ECAT when indicated, developing a collaborative approach that benefits all children in the classroom. Monitor and report child abuse. Attend and participate in trainings and appropriate professional development activities. Attend and participate in meetings. Equally shared cleaning and sanitizing responsibility with ECAT. Engage in ongoing self-assessment about job performance. Follow State Licensing Regulation, Health Department and Fire Marshal Standards.
