Early Childhood Development Specialist

Childcare Coaching and Development Specialist | Hybrid

Serve as an integral member of the Sunshine House Early Learning Academy's Early Childhood Education Department, contributing to the development, training, and implementation of curricular initiatives! This role oversees a team of early childhood coaches and provides guidance and direction to support preschools by evaluating curriculum execution and collaborating with management and teachers.

Travel: 80%-90% travel required, with at least 80% of work performed onsite at centers. Occasional evening and weekend commitments may also be required to support training sessions or special projects. Travel most often in the Atlanta area with some travel to Colorado and Texas.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications). Compensation package includes car allowance, travel expenses, company cell phone and laptop.

Highlights of Position Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Oversight:

Supervise, mentor, and support a team of childcare education coaches within assigned geographic areas. Assist with onboarding of new teachers, specifically in curriculum and education for infants through pre-k age. Conduct frequent onsite visits to daycare centers, spending a minimum of 80% of work hours in the field.


Curriculum Implementation and Support primarily for Infant – pre-K teachers:

Evaluate effectiveness of curriculum implementation across centers, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Develop, deliver trainings to ensure coaches and educators understand and effectively implement curricular initiatives. Collaborate with center management and teachers to set measurable goals to improve teaching practices.


Mentorship and Professional Development:

Provide mentorship and support to coaches, equipping them with skills and resources to guide center staff. Identify and recommend tools, resources, and strategies to enhance teaching practices and curriculum implementation. Address challenges or concerns raised by center staff, offering tailored solutions and guidance.


Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with Regional Directors to foster a positive and motivated workforce. Work closely with leadership to align coaching and curriculum strategies with organizational goals. Maintain positive relationships with teachers, families, and community stakeholders to support success of centers.


Data & Reporting:

Document observations, feedback, and progress during onsite visits and coaching sessions. Prepare and submit regular reports on coaching activities, outcomes, and center support efforts.
