Early Career Traffic Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities: + Assist Austin and Texas staff with engineering, design, and production support. + Support project task leads in development of traffic studies including traffic impact analyses, corridor feasibility and planning studies, microscopic simulation modeling, and macroscopic simulation modeling. + Will work closely with Project Managers and task leads to prepare PS&E plans including signing and striping, traffic signals, illumination, and traffic control plans for various state and local agencies. + Apply critical thinking and decision-making on design and engineering procedures. + Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. + Strong technical report writing and verbal skills. + Ability to multitask and manage time while working on multiple project tasks. + A commitment to positively contribute to the team culture is a must. + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Preferred Qualifications: + Master's degree in Transportation/Traffic engineering discipline preferred. + EIT certification strongly preferred. + Prior internship experience working in a team environment. + Experience with Highway Capacity Software, Microstation or AutoCAD, OpenRoads, ArcGIS, TransCAD, or VISSIM is a plus. \#LI-JL1 **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
