E3 Engineer
Title: E3 Engineer The E3 Engineer will provide essential support to the NAVAIR AD6220M EMC Branch at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, focusing on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Testing. This role will involve assessing the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) susceptibility and protection of aircraft platforms, support equipment, and weapons systems.Key Responsibilities: + Apply E3 engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate Naval airborne platforms, weapons, avionics, and associated systems. + Participate in design reviews (preliminary, critical, etc.) to ensure E3 requirements are properly defined and met. Review, prepare, and contribute to engineering reports, technical analyses, change proposals, and other key technical documentation. Utilize engineering expertise to conduct system integration, qualification testing, and resource management for military systems. + Design, develop, and test automated data processing software in support of engineering or functional requirements for military systems and related systems. + Focus on electrical and electronic systems, including power generation and distribution, motor control centers, communications systems, cathodic protection, and more. Under supervision, evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures while making adaptations or modifications as needed. Assist in the design of larger, more complex projects, evaluating tasks for accuracy and considering their impact on cost containment, operational efficiency, and profitability. Basic Qualifications: Education: BS/BA in Engineering or Physics.Experience: 1-5 years of relevant E3 Engineering experience. Software/Skills: MatLab, Spectrum Analyzers, Radar Testing Theory, Python, C+ + Security Clearance Requirement: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week Compensation: $75,000 - 85,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, contract affordability and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
