Position Objective:
Senior Dynamics AX Software Design Engineer develops new software feature approved by business unit leaders. This feature may be a new functionality or updating an existing functionality of Dynamics AX current and future versions.
This role performs regular code reviews to ensure the design quality and avoids overly complicated structures. These tasks usually involve hands-on work on prototype development, code contributions, or technological assessment.
This position is part of a team that helps to improve the productivity of our operations, improves the end-user experience, and enhances the visibility into the financial aspects of our business
X++ development experience required. Experience with F&O highly preferred
Functions:
Develops new or modifies existing AX features using best practices adopted by the team
Undertakes proof of concept analysis of the "challenging" software applications. He/she decides how to build the solution, considers all potential technical constraints and risks and maps out how to implement the idea.
Next, he/she creates an architectural prototype to ensure the software development team can build the solution. The prototype proves the product will be stable, feasible, and realistic
Perform regular reviews of other developer's code to ensure the design quality and avoid overly complicated structures
Possesses a good understanding of overall AX functionality in order to be more effective in development and testing
Education Level: Bachelors Degree
Experience Level:
8+ years of X++ Language
8+ years of Dynamics AX 2012 R3 functionalities
4+ Microsoft .NET framework and C# language
Salary Range: $115,000-$120,000
