Role Objective:
We’re searching for an experienced and energetic Duty Manager to join the leadership team at Fortitude Music Hall, one of Brisbane’s most iconic live music venues.
In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee event operations and team leadership across shows and functions, ensuring everything runs smoothly while delivering exceptional experiences for artists, staff, and guests. From staff management and training, to compliance, stock control, and frontline customer service—you’ll be across it all.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Venue Management Team, this is a full-time role with evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts required based on the event calendar.
Key Responsibilities
Event Operations & Team Leadership
+ Lead all aspects of events, including artist liaison, box office, and FOH operations
+ Manage, support, and train casual staff and supervisors
+ Conduct pre-event risk assessments and checklists
+ Ensure smooth venue presentation and compliance during events
+ Represent the venue on the OH&S committee
Venue & Admin Support
+ Manage stock ordering and POS inventory system, including monthly stocktake
+ Support social media engagement and customer enquiries during shifts
+ Assist with rostering, scheduling, and post-event wrap-ups
+ Liaise with bookings and production teams to align on artist needs
+ Deliver high-level admin and resource coordination ahead of events
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume operations or events role
+ Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
+ Experience in rostering and inventory systems (POS/stock management)
+ Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
+ Passion for live music and creating unforgettable moments
