Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$17.30 - $39.06

Position Brand Description:

The packaging operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP) site where material for domestic and international markets is packaged. The operator is responsible for assembly / packaging activities in a safe and compliant manner.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for packaging products safely with a high level of quality to maintain reliable supply of products to patients.Know and follow cGMP practices, safe work habits, plant dress code, hygiene standards, and housekeeping requirements unique to the work area and job classification.Setup, operate, and clear packaging line equipment and / or ancillary support equipment to meet production requirements.Train others to setup, operate, and clear packaging line equipment.Ensure strict compliance with established policies / procedures and stays up to date on training.Active involvement in Packaging safety initiatives.Perform troubleshooting on equipment and assist maintenance or other team members in area as needed.Perform general housekeeping by keeping work area clean and orderly.

Basic Requirements:

Ability to effectively communicate.Flexibility and problem-solving skills.Decision-making skills and ability to exert good judgement.Knowledge of computer application including SAP and PMX.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.Ability to work independently or in a team environment and have a cooperative behavior.The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness (visual color determination).

Educational Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferences:

Attention to detail and general understanding of cGMP and Quality Systems.Previous Pharmaceutical Packaging experience (2 yrs.).Have at least six months experience working in a Dry Packaging facility.Have a firm understanding of the work center cleaning process.

Additional Information:

Position may work with various Lilly products.Work hours and start times may vary.Overtime and weekend work may be required.Some roles require ability to work with controlled substances- background check is required for those instances.
