Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safety & Quality

Completes all required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with safety policiesDrives a proactive safety culture and supports the execution of EHS and PHA management systemsIdentifies areas of improvement and drives the team towards continuous improvementsPerforms and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issuesFollows up on safety and quality-related issues and works towards resolutionOperates and maintains the area according to documentation and guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are metUses best-known practices and network resources to stay aligned on best-known methods

Communication & TeamworkPartners with Process Development, Operations, and IE teams to develop effective plans for area improvements and completion of goalsWorks closely with suppliers to address tool problems, defect issues, and improve tool availabilityImproves communication and collaboration with area, department, and network partners, as well as with any external customersCoordinate and lead meetings and initiate follow-up actionsPartners with HVMs in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation as part of Benchmarking and transfer activities

Technical/Data AnalysisAnalyzes data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activitiesProvides troubleshooting support for sophisticated problems and addresses root causesServes as a key area resource for technical support and/or providing required technical resources to support TD requirementsDrives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, WS health reports, CIP items, MTAGs, MOP documents, and restoration guides

Project Management/PlanningServes as manager of area equipment ownersLeads projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule, and budgetSupervises actions and provides a clear path or resources to address blocking issues and ensure timely completion.Drives team to focus on priority issues and stay within the scope of the projectCoordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actionsSupports department business processes for new tool installations, as well as existing tool modifications or removalsPartners with Procurement, Process Development, Process Integration, Planning, and manufacturing on new tool/chamber purchases

Performance ManagementConducts regular performance management and professional development through clear expectations and accountabilityEnsures direct reports apply the performance management tools, including maintaining documentation to collect feedback, plans, and progress to support performance rating.Ensures team members complete all assigned tasks before critical deadlines are passed by maintaining open dialogue and feedbackDefines roles to meet the overall organizational job expectations of the teamKnows Micron policies and partners closely with HREnsures the area has succession plans for all key positionsProvides guidance to identify, develop, and promote technical expertise (process, device, equipment, etc.)Meets regularly with team members to review performance, provide feedback, and create development plans applying SuccessFactors.Partners with direct reports to create long/short-term goals and projects that meet individual needs and the needs of the department

Fab PerformanceCollaborate to improve area output and reduce wait and lost time.Drives unscheduled downtime reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize overall fab performancePrioritizes projects and area focus on correcting tactical issues that impact productivity, as well as developing strategic solutions to achieve long term improvementsPartners with manufacturing and planning to optimize the workstation balance in the area

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:Proven ability to lead a technical team to meet area and department goalsProven track record to lead and manage the performance of direct reportsProven ability to develop and mentor team membersProven track record to lead by example in demonstrating Micron values and leadership competenciesStrong negotiation, and partnership skillsSophisticated understanding of process flow related to area equipmentAdvanced PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MICAP, Ariba, and MAXIMOProven ability to communicate well, both written and verballyProven ability to present highly technical information to audiences at all levelsStrong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groupsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively coordinate teams and projectsProven ability to lead a technical team to meet area and department goalsProven ability to manage the performance of direct reports and mentor the teamProven ability to multi-task sophisticated projectsAdvanced understanding of the Fab process areas including area processing equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to present highly technical information to internal and external audiencesKnowledge of the main utility systems supplied by the Facilities group

Education & ExperienceRequired: A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of Dry Etch Equipment Owner experience; applicable Fab experience may be considered in place of a formal degree.Preferred: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience with 7+ years of Dry Etch Equipment Owner experience; previous Equipment Manager experience.
