**General Purpose:**
Supervise assigned drivers and hauling activities at assigned DFA terminal. Develop and promote safety, customer service, DOT compliance, and operational excellence.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Coordinate with dispatch to create and execute a daily hauling plan
+ Connect with drivers daily to promote employee engagement and wellbeing.
+ Manage milk sampling process, collection, proper handling, and shipment to maintain sample integrity
+ Ensure employees achieve performance expectations following DFA and state and federal regulations
+ Promote safety culture by adherence to safety procedures. Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions for accidents and employee safety concerns
+ Work closely with Human Resources to address driver counseling, disciplinary actions, and new driver training
+ Partner with maintenance leadership to ensure equipment is maintained and cared for properly.
**Requirements**
**_Education and Experience_**
+ High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ 5 years of logistics/transportation experience, including 2 years in an official lead capacity
+ Certification and/or License
+ CDL A license with tanker/doubles/triples endorsement as required
+ Must obtain state issued Milk Sampler/Hauler’s license
**_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_**
+ Knowledge of dairy industry, processes, regulations, and equipment
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
+ Knowledge of DOT, PMO, and OSHA rules and regulations
+ Skill in leadership, coaching, collaboration, and team work
+ Able to handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism
+ Able to read, write, and speak English
