Driver/Raw Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Driver. Following specific direction and schedules, drives truck with capacity under 3 tons to transport materials in liquid or packaged form to and from specified destinations such as plants, businesses, post offices, etc. by performing the following duties. In all actions support LMI's Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other LMI policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Verifies load against shipping papers. + Drives truck to destination. + Prepares receipts for load picked up. + Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. + Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. + Loads and unloads truck. + Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. + Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs. + Great customer service skills are needed for this job to interact with internal and external customers. + Coordinate milkrun deliveries and readiness. + Operational knowledge of the process and relationships with operators to bring parts to necessary department. + Load/Stack large quantities of materials. + Aid in searching for parts. Travel Required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES + High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role. + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. + Valid driver license, class "E" license, and clean DMV record. Physical Requirements + Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time + Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud + Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection + May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds WHY CHOOSE LMI AEROSPACE?
