Job DescriptionDrive delivery vehicle to transport materials, supplies, or equipmentEnsure equipment is configured to the bill of ladingLoad, secure, and deliver materials in a safe and timely mannerComplete and process paperworkMaintain a safe vehicle and comply with all government regulatory laws

QualificationsSkill in manipulating controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving the vehicle in all types of traffic and road conditionsSkill to read and understand a road map, and to determine the shortest and safest route for both short and long runsKnowledge of defensive driving techniques, including skill to recognize developing hazardous road and traffic conditions and the judgment to select alternate routes to avoid potential problemsKnowledge and skill to adjust driving methods to the practices of the surrounding traffic in order to avoid accidents and to transport cargo and passengers safelyKnowledge of State and local safety rules and regulations, and the rules of other jurisdictions for operating vehiclesKnowledge and skill to load cargo properly onto the vehicle, using appropriate tie-downs such as chains, binders, or straps for transit on public roads at highway speeds or under similar driving circumstancesAbility to recognize developing maintenance problems when conducting an operator's inspection of their assigned vehicles, and to report technical problems to the supervisor

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $37,440.00 to $47,840.00 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
