In the Drinking Water Process Group, we develop innovative solutions to provide safe and reliable drinking water from the source water to the customer’s tap. We take a comprehensive approach to solving our clients’ biggest water quality and treatment challenges, focusing on source water protection, implementation and optimization of conventional and advanced treatment systems, and managing distribution water quality stability. This role would function as a technical specialist, developing drinking water and reuse treatment process solutions, providing analysis of water quality data, conducting bench-scale/pilot testing, performing treatment evaluations, and developing designs for public and private water treatment systems. With some direction, candidate should be capable of developing and applying fundamental process engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to solve complex water quality and treatment problems. Candidate will provide technical assistance to a multidisciplinary staff on drinking water treatment, water quality, monitoring, controls, and regulatory compliance matters. **Key Responsibilities** + Support process treatment evaluations for drinking water and reuse facilities. + Analyze operating data and regulatory compliance information from treatment facilities. + Evaluate raw water quality characteristics and treated water quality goals. + Evaluate and select treatment processes to meet water quality objectives. + Develop bench and pilot-scale testing protocols and conduct testing to evaluate efficacy of alternative treatment processes. + Develop recommended basis of design criteria for proposed treatment technologies, such as chemical type and dosage ranges. + Perform disinfection and oxidation/reduction process calculations. + Develop mass balance and equipment sizing calculations for conventional physical/chemical processes such as softening, coagulation, and filtration; as well as advanced treatment processes such as membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, ozonation, UV/AOP, and adsorption (GAC and AIX). + Demonstrate strong technical writing skills and effective communication. + Assist in developing conceptual-level life cycle costs to evaluate treatment options. + Support multiple projects with complex technical challenges. + Self-manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements for assigned tasks. + Support business development and pursuit activities. **Preferred Qualifications** + ↵Strong background in environmental water chemistry for both natural and engineered systems + Knowledge of water treatment process engineering principles + Established leadership skills focused on teamwork and collaboration + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Master's Degree or Higher in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biological Systems Engineering with a focus in drinking water or reuse technologies + FE Obtained **Minimum Qualifications** Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
