As a Draughtsman / CAD Technician, you will be responsible for:

Using drafting tools and platforms (i.e AutoCAD, Solidworks and computer programs) for early phase product developmentWorking and communicating efficiently between project and engineering divisions, liaising with Structural, Engineering and Technology departments to collect relevant technical informationInterpreting client requirements and developing in line with project and engineering teams for solutions and recommending ideasProducing technical drawings using 2D and 3D softwareCreating and maintaining all technical engineering drawings relating to the manufacture of flexible pipe and ancillary componentsMaintaining CAD templates and standard 2D and 3D modelling librariesProducing illustrative material for Engineering, Commercial and Marketing purposesChecking, reviewing and approval of Engineering drawings (Subject to competency status)

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Level 3 BTEC in an Engineering disciplineHave proven work experience in the use of both AutoCAD and an associated 3D modelling software (i.e. Solidworks)Have proven experience with reading and creating engineering drawingsHave knowledge in manufacturing or engineering fields (or Machining or Fabrication)Have an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
