Job Description

Our client specializes in making panels to meet UL specifications, and is seeking a Drafter who is familiar with CAD, Zuken, and SolidWorks design software. The ideal candidate will turn internal or external designs into submittals. A bachelor's degree is not required, but drafting experience is essential. Preferred candidates will have a history in electrical engineering. This role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm with zero travel required.

ResponsibilitiesConvert internal and external customer designs into submittals.Participate in meetings for 10% of the time to gather and discuss progress.Spend 20% of the time designing internal and external customer designs.Dedicate 70% of the time to computer-based design work.Review and implement engineering change requests (ECR).Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD, Zuken, and SolidWorks software.Strong understanding of electrical principles, including breakers, relays, and transformers.Experience with engineering change review (ECR).5+ years of experience in drafting and project management.Ability to run projects independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong communication and collaboration skills.Experience in project management.Ability to handle customers effectively.Knowledge of estimating and cost control.Mechanical aptitude.Work Environment

The work environment is a panel manufacturing shop where the individual will primarily be engaged in desk work and idea execution. The team size is small, and the individual will interact directly with 2-3 people and collaborate with a larger team of engineers, sales individuals, and customers. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The day-to-day activities involve computer-based design work, occasional meetings to discuss project progress, and customer meetings to provide technical feedback. The first few days will be dedicated to familiarizing with the company's operations, followed by developing and designing projects. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.03 - $33.65/hr.
