Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, supporting, and coordinating the following:

POWER CultureFoster our culture of “Do good, Have fun, Build Success”Develop innovative client-focused solutionsDemonstrate a high level of personal initiativeEncourage growth, engagement, and accountability among team membersWork in a team environment to solve and build strong internal and external relationshipsTechnical Requirements and DevelopmentDevelop working knowledge of Client/Power CAD Standards and Compliance.Adhere to POWER’s QA/QC procedure requiring upmost personal accountability to enhance the project team’s success. Maintain a high level of drafting quality and efficiency in alignment with project scope and budget.Develop an understanding in both AutoCADD and MicroStation to support project requirements, which include:  Vicinity MapsStructure ListPlan and ProfilesPhasing DrawingsFoundation DrawingsStructure Assembly DrawingsPermit and Crossing DrawingsLoad and Design DrawingsThrough drafting assignments and project work, seek to gain a transmission line understanding beyond just the redline mark-ups.Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.Required Education/Experience:Associates degree or 1-year certificate in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)AutoCAD 2020-2025 experienceAdobe PDF creationAble to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyTime management and organizational skills are essentialMust be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needsMust be able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracyAble to read and interpret drawings and drawing mark-upsAble to use architectural and engineering scale to read and create drawingsThe candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team membersPreferred Education/Experience:  Experience with AutoCADExperience with MicroStation is a plusKnowledge of MS Office productsGood background in basic mathematicsExperience working with 3D drafting and detailing is a plusBluebeam Revu experience is a plusWorking knowledge of survey coordinate systems is a plusPractical intern or utility industry experience is preferred
