MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual supervision of doula program staff. Doulas serve a caseload of prenatal/postpartum clients, providing home visitation & labor/delivery support. Lead Doula provides individual reflective supervision every week with each doula on the team (currently there are three doulas).Facilitate doula team meetings & coordinate doula clinical consultation meetings. Lead Doula organizes and leads the team to facilitate team coordination and opportunity for professional development.Monitor and analyze data entry in the Data Points system and preparing outcome reports to the program funder.Manage doula caseloads and back-up coverage.Coordinate outreach efforts & collaboration with referring providersMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
License/Registration/Certification:
Doulas of North America (DONA) certification, or equivalent doula certification (such as International Childbirth Education Association or Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association)
Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study (if applicable): Related Field
Years of Experience: Requires 3 years of exp
Describe Type Experience: Doula related experience
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Appropriate clinical skills. Good communication skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Administration and program development skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
May be exposed to adverse, hazardous or unpleasant conditions. Home visiting required. Ability to work in team-oriented environment.
