Minimum Qualifications: + A bachelor’s degree in a computer related field. Four years’ computer related experience to substitute for educational requirement. + Valid Class E driver's license Preferences: + Ability to fluently speak and write in Spanish. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with vendor voting systems software, hardware, firmware, and voting equipment to create/perform test-mock elections, troubleshoot identified issues, and carry out certification test activities. Assist with the development of voting system test plans and test scripts and identify potential weaknesses in election database software. Provide election management technical support to the counties and serve as an audit team member when needed. Examine vendor’s technical data package for compliance to applicable standards and Florida Statutes. Perform election observations upon request and provide written election observation reports within timeframe specified by management. Perform other related duties as required. In addition to the above reference duties and responsibilities, it is an essential function of the position and a condition of employment to be available to travel on a regular basis and with little or no prior notice, including, but not limited to areas where voting and/or voting operations have been adversely affected by natural disaster or other occurrence, and to temporality relocate to such area(s), to perform the duties of this position. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of computer equipment/operations/hardware and software. Knowledge of principles/practices/techniques of computer programming/system analysis. Ability to develop technical specs, test plans and reports to standards/criteria. Ability to test/debug computer programs.
