Donor Engagement/Communications Program Manager - Hybrid
This position is responsible for executing strategic communications for Providence Foundations of Oregon that support donor retention, inspire increased giving, and foster long-term relationships with local foundations. The Program Manager develops donor-centered communications that highlight Providence’s regional and local philanthropic opportunities, donor impact, local initiatives, and other key messages for external audiences. Additionally, this role contributes to the comprehensive donor engagement strategy, including individualized stewardship plans for high-level prospects and donors, impact reporting, and engagement activities.
Success in this role requires exceptional project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders. The Program Manager is a seasoned communicator and storyteller with outstanding writing skills and expertise in managing print media, electronic communications, social media, and multi-channel campaign development.
Under the leadership of the Oregon director of donor engagement, this role helps execute communications strategies that both inspire philanthropic support and showcase the transformative impact of donor contributions on the health and well-being of the communities we serve. The Program Manager also plays a key role in maintaining a consistent brand identity for Providence foundations while allowing for localized messaging.
This position collaborates closely with the creative team, philanthropy gift officers, hospital leaders, program clinicians, public relations and communications colleagues, and other internal partners. The role offers a hybrid work environment, with both remote and on-site work at various Portland-area locations.

Essential Functions:
Storytelling & Content Creation: Interview, write, and produce stories showcasing donor, patient, and caregiver impact across print, digital, web, and social media platforms. Strategic Communications: Collaborate with donor engagement leader and philanthropy colleagues to develop and execute communications strategies that inspire philanthropic support and demonstrate the impact of donor contributions both internally and externally. Donor Engagement Support: Partner with gift officers to provide tools, resources, and inspiring stories that support donor cultivation, major and principal gift stewardship, and fundraising initiatives. Brand Stewardship: Help maintain a consistent brand identity for Providence foundations, with thoughtful adjustments to reflect local needs and audiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including hospital leaders, clinicians, marketing and communications teams, and others, to align messaging and amplify impact. Mission Alignment: Contribute to the Providence Mission by advancing programs and initiatives that improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.Job specific knowledge, skills and abilities:

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Marketing/Communications, Journalism, or Public/Media Relations. 5 years Experience in health care marketing and communications including experience in a related field with like responsibilities.Preferred qualifications:
